New Mexican Bistro Up for Approval Tonight

Springfield's Board of Commissioners must ok the plan for a new restaurant in the Springfield Shopping Center.

The owners of a proposed Mexican Restaurant are hoping to get the go-ahead to begin build in the Springfield Shoping Center when Springfield's Board of Commissioners meets Tuesday night.

Taqueria del Sol is proposed for the space most recently occupied by the Halloween Store in the shopping center at Sproul Road and Route 1.

The Planning Commission gave its approval to the restaurant last Thursday. The Shopping Center was not zoned for the restaurant as proposed so it must be approved by the commissioners.
