[Editors note: Patch previously reported that Springfield post offices would remain open. This was an error on our part. The article was based on a list released by the United States Postal Service July 26 revealing 3,700 locations being considered for closure. Springfield offices were not on that list. We apologize for any confusion. As Patch establishes itself in the community, it’s important that we are in touch with residents. Please do not hesitate to email, phone, comment and call us out if we’ve made an error. Submit news tips to Leslie.Truluck@Patch.com]
