Men's Wellness Program at the Lake

Crozer-Keystone Health System will offer an educational program and free cancer screenings for men on Saturday, September 22. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to noon, in the Crozer Medical Plaza and Crozer-Keystone Cancer Center at Brinton Lake, 500 Evergreen Drive, Glen Mills, PA.

Screenings will include Glucose/Cholesterol Screenings, Prostate Screenings/Exam, and Skin Cancer Screenings.

8 a.m. - Free Glucose and Cholesterol Screenings. Men should not eat after midnight to be eligible for this screening.

8 a.m. - Prostate Lab Work. Patients who are not pre-registered for a prostate screening must have their blood work done before the exam. Fasting is not necessary for men coming for this exam only.

9 a.m. - Continental Breakfast. Available in the Cancer Center Lobby.

9 to 10 a.m. - "Risk Factors for Cancer in Men," Educational Program featuring Patti Hollenback, RN, nurse navigator at Crozer-Chester Medical Center and Anne Marie Bradley, RN, nurse manager at the Crozer-Keystone Cancer Center at Brinton Lake and Crozer Regional Cancer Center.

10 a.m. to noon - Free prostate screenings are available for men who are over 50 years old (40 years old if they are African American or have a family history of prostate cancer). Participants should not be under the care of an urologist, have been previously treated for prostate cancer, or have had a PA test within the last year. Appointments are necessary. Space is limited.
