Office Personnel Named District Employees of the Month

The following is a press release from the Springfield School District.

The Springfield School District February Employees of the Month are Debbie Lannutti and Maureen Eastman, school office personnel at E. T. Richardson Middle School. Both Debbie and Maureen are longtime residents of Springfield with children who graduated from Springfield High School. Debbie and Maureen have both been with the District for 18 years. Debbie started at Sabold as a kindergarten learning assistant and Maureen started as a fourth grade learning assistant at Scenic, both in 1995.

Each day Maureen and Debbie interact with hundreds of students, parents, staff and vendors who come to ETR each day. They are the smiling face that greets you and helps keep the school safe by monitoring the locked lobby doors. Amongst the dozens of daily tasks they accomplish, their focus is always on making ETR run efficiently and effectively so the school’s focus can remain on instruction and student achievement. They both agree, ETR is like their extended family, caring and committed to individuals and the whole staff. With their great people skills and attention to detail they make a fantastic team, and both report, “I love working at ETR.”

The staff at ETR were quick to recognize Debbie and Maureen for their commitment to providing excellent customer service. Kathleen Lane, sixth grade teacher said, “Debbie and Maureen are the heart and soul of ETR. They work so hard to make sure everything runs smoothly from the time the very first student steps into the building until well past the end of the school day.” Deb Pearse, eighth grade teacher added. “Maureen and Debbie are instrumental in the school running smoothly.  They welcome everyone with a smile and are always available to assist with anything. They can always be counted on.” Principal Tracy concluded by saying, “Debbie and Maureen are a great team.  Not only do they help all of our parents, students, and guests feel welcome, they are also great examples of the Cougar Way by helping in any way they can.” For all these reasons and many more, please celebrate Debbie Lannutti and Maureen Eastman as the Springfield School District February Employees of the Month.
