School Board to Vote on Renovations

The Springfield School Board will vote on renovations to Richardson Middle School, Springfield High School and Scenic Hills Elementary totaling over $161,000.

The Springfield School Board will hold its first meeting of 2013 on Thursday, and the agenda includes a vote on a $161,650 expense for school renovations.

The board will vote on whether or not to authorize $161,650 for Blackney Hayes Architects for architectural and engineering services for various renovations at Richardson Middle School, Springfield High School and Scenic Hills Elementary.

The projects included in the vote have been budgeted under the Service Life Extension Program for the district, which as the name might suggest, allows for projects that extend the life of district facilities.
