Adopt this Black Cat on Friggatriskaidekaphobia Day

Who says black cats are unlucky? Adopt this one from the Delaware County SPCA.

According to the website The Unexplained Mysteries, the fear of Friday the 13th is called friggatriskaidekaphobia. Frigga, meaning "Friday," and triskaidekaphobia, or paraskevidekatriaphobia, derived from the Greek words "Paraskevi" (Friday) and "dekatreis" (thirteen).

But this black cat named Smokey is nothing to fear. She is shy and slow to warm up but she is ready for a new home. Smokey is so lucky that her adoption fee is just $5 throughout September. So stop in and meet Smokey this Friday the 13th. She is available for adoption at the Delaware County SPCA.

UPDATE:
Dogs Gail and George and Lilia have been adopted and Cat Bubbles also found a forever home.

There are always adoption specials going on at the Delaware County SPCA. So always ask if there is currently an adoption special available.
